milk supply.
At 27, Ginger has some arthritis but still looks great for her age ! In these
pictures she's just shedding out of her winter coat in April 2008.
Ginger lived until age 29. She was sound all her life and was an always reliable saddle
horse; great on trails or in the arena. She wasn't used as a broodmare until later in her
life and had only 4 foals. Unlike many mares she liked company and foaled the last 3 of
her babies at high noon!

During her last years she developed pain from arthritis in her knees and hocks and was
no longer comfortable being ridden. But she still enjoyed life, daily grooming and being
the reigning Queen of the Barn. She foundered in 2009 but recovered. She foundered
again in January 2010 and it was time to let her go home...

I am very grateful for the wonderful years she shared with Mom and I.
