|Archie was my cousin Nancee's second horse; an older retiree that kept Abbi company.
When Nancee became ill in 2009, they both came to live with me.
Nancee passed away and Abbi and Archie stayed with me. Abbi had been permanently crippled in a
pasture accident and after a long struggle with founder, she finally succumbed.
Archie seemed to be trhiving at 25 when he suddenly developed a severe colic. Even with
immediate veterinary attention and an emergency trip to a top equine hospital, he did not survive.
Archie was a gentle, sweet guy who just loved the easy life.
We will miss him and his big blaze face a lot.
